United States: Donald Trump supports the candidacy of Sarah Palin, figure of the populist right, in the House of Representatives

The former US president traveled to Alaska on Saturday. Sarah Palin is running for that state's only seat in the House of Representatives.

Donald Trump continues to dig his furrow. The former US president is trying to consolidate his grip on the Republican Party ahead of the November legislative elections. He went to Alaska on Saturday July 9 to support Sarah Palin, a figure of American populism.

The 58-year-old conservative Christian  is running for Alaska's only seat in the US House of Representatives. The position has been vacant since the sudden death of Republican Don Young, who held it for forty-nine years.

Unsurprisingly, Donald Trump has further maintained the mystery of his candidacy in 2024, hammering home his conspiracy theory of a victory stolen by Joe Biden in the last presidential election.
